The “Monument aux Morts” of Paul Landowski in Barcelonnette, Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, France
This “Monument aux Morts of Barcelonnette” is dedicated to the fallen soldiers of The Great War (1914-18), the Second World War (1939-45), Indochina (1946-54) and Algeria (1954-62) who came from this region. The monument was made by sculptor Paul Landowski, who is also known for making the famous statue of Christ in Rio de Janeiro.
The monument was officially inaugurated on August 19th 1923.

You can visit the Monument on the West side of the city of Barcelonnette where the D9 and D900 roads meet near the Villa Puebla.
