The Generator on the photos is a maschinensatz 24 kW für 150 cm FlaKscheinwerfer 34 and 37 types – Generator 24 KW for an 150 cm searchlight 34 or 37. The 150 cm FlaKscheinwerfer 34 and 37 are also named Sw 34 and Sw 37. The use of a mobile power supply gave the Germans the possibility to deploy the searchlight anywhere on the battlefield and light up the sky for the FlaK batteries (Flugabwehr batteries – Eng. Anti-aircraft batteries) to find their target at night.

The machine generated 24 Kilowatt for the 150 cm searchlight. An 8 cylinder Mercedes-Benz with 51 horsepower gave a current of 200 Amperes at 110 Volts. It was attached to the searchlight with a 200 meter cable. The Generator was transported with a special trailer designated: Sd. An. 104 – Sonderanhänger 104.
The setup on the photo combines the 12 ton German Halftrack Sd. Kfz. 8, with enough seats for the crew (2 halftrack +11 crew for the searchlight and generator), pulling a 150 cm searchlight and this 24 KW Generator. Both the FlaKscheinwerfer 34 and the 24 KW Generator are carried by two Specialized trailer sets, the Sd. An. 104 (Sonderanhänger 104).
