The aviation museum is located close to Hermeskeil. It is the largest private museum with more than 100 aircraft. The Second World War collection is not very large. The collection focuses more on the Cold War and later periods.
The museum contains a Junkers Ju 52 transport aircraft, a Messerschmitt BF 108 “Taifun” (Eng. Typhoon), a North American AT 6 F Texan, a Spanish version of a Heinkel He 111, the Casa 2.111, a Douglas DC-3 / C-47 (C-53) and a Swiss EFW-Emmen C-3605. There are also some engines to be seen and some pilots’ uniforms. The museum also features unique compositions of cockpit instrument panels from World War II fighter planes and bombers.
