At the intersection of the road leading to Hitler’s Wolfsschlucht 1 in Brûly-de-Pesche and Couvin, you will find the “Chapelle du Maquis”. This chapel has been erected on the very spot of the German guard post guarding the bridge crossing to the Fuhrerhauptquartier. The memorial is placed here to honour the Maquisards of resistance Group D “Hotton” and to commemorate the 44 members of this group who lost their lives fighting for the freedom of Belgium. Their names are engraved in the dome of the memorial chapel.
