The Finnish 47 Krh/41 light infantry mortar was developed in 1941 based on earlier versions 47 Krh/39 and 47 Krh/40. The 47 mm (1/2″) mortar was meant to provide the Finnish infantry a portable mortar for short-range indirect fire support. The mortar required its own type of shell based on the Finnish M/41 egg hand grenade. Only 50 pieces of this model 1941 were produced during World War Two.

The 47 Krh/41 on display in the Wehrtechnische Studiensammlung in Koblenz is fitted with a folding bipod and a leather sling, so the bearer could carry the mortar on his back.
